Doxology was written for the UNL Guitar Ensemble, under the direction of Tetsuya Nishiyama. The piece is structured as a variations-and-theme on the hymn of the same name. As the piece progresses the hymn tune becomes more and more present in the texture, culminating in a reharmonized chorale setting of the hymn towards the end of the work.
